Balance XO provides inventory management software for small businesses. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to you when you use our website and application.
Information we collect
We collect account information such as your name, email address, authentication details, and business membership. We also store the business information you choose to enter, including products, suppliers, inventory quantities, purchasing records, sales, returns, team roles, and operational notes.
Payment card information is collected and processed by Stripe. Balance XO does not store complete card numbers. Authentication is provided by Clerk, transactional email is delivered through Resend, and application traffic and infrastructure are handled through Cloudflare.
How we use information
- Provide, secure, and maintain your Balance XO workspace.
- Authenticate users and enforce business roles and subscription limits.
- Process subscriptions and maintain billing status.
- Send requested receipts, service notices, and support responses.
- Diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
- Meet legal, accounting, and security obligations.
How information is shared
We share information only with service providers that help operate Balance XO, when you direct us to do so, or when required by law. We do not sell personal information. Each service provider processes information under its own terms and privacy commitments.
Business data and retention
Your business retains ownership of the information entered into its workspace. We keep information while an account is active and as reasonably necessary for security, dispute resolution, legal obligations, and service recovery. Scale customers can export a full business backup, and all customers can export supported catalog and reporting data.
Security
Balance XO uses encrypted connections, managed authentication, role-based access, separated business workspaces, and activity records. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so account owners should use secure email accounts, protect sign-in credentials, and promptly remove access for former team members.
Your choices
You may review or update account and business information inside Balance XO, export supported data, manage billing through Stripe, or request assistance with account access and deletion. Some information may be retained where legally required or necessary to protect the service.
Children
Balance XO is intended for business use and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. The updated date will appear at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email when appropriate.
